Wow, what a season. This year we have seen the boom of Streaming live speedway meetings. With a bit of determination from myself and 2 other guys, streaming is quickly becoming a very popular way to listen to races without physically showing up due to work commitments or not in the same town as the last meeting etc. It has been a load easier to do streaming now, with technology really taking off. We tried this a number of years ago at Riverside, but failed due to lack of cell service. But now.... well you know the result.
Next year will see more of the same. We will be running two streaming systems. One for all the NZ Titles around the South Island, and the other will remain at the Southern part of NZ for ongoing testing and perfection of the streams.
Nelson has Andrew Neru, who is a person that I had talked heavily with at the start of the season to take on the idea of Speedway and the streams, and after a little convincing, he started streaming out of Nelson.... He then created the Speedway Live system that is linked to The Pits Speedway. I also introduced on Jason Walters to Andrew, who then went on to provide us the streams out of the North Island. Even though we are separate, we are all working to get the system perfect. Sadly, these other guys dont have the same vision as myself and have decided to try and charge people to listen to the streams. I personally will not be doing that at this stage, or any time in the near future, instead, choosing to pass any cost (very minimal) onto the tracks (not including the southern ones who are used as a trial).
As some of you know, there is something else in the pipeline that I will be working on in the off seaosn that might just change the face of Speedway in New Zealand. I have released very minimal information to others and are working with to seperate groups with one offering something that is amazing. Even the people that have been told, dont know the full story and therefore, speculation is running ripe. If this pans out, then you will get the full story.
I wish to thank everyone that has supported the streams and hope that you will continue to listen to them. Next season, we have already added Oreti Park Speedway as new people wishing to get the stream.. More on this later....
I very much thank the sponsors of my site who are just fkn amazing. Please.. if you need any of their services.. use them, because without them, you wouldn't be listening to ANY streams....Also thanks to Mike Dixon, Paul Chivers for their ongoing help in keeping the message board tidy and moderating the Tuesday nights shows on the chat room
If you have any questions about the streaming and related, ask here and i will reply
